Discontinue use of PG if you experience sensitivity or irritations to PG: Although ECBlend e-liquids are not made with known allergens, there are reports regarding skin irritations and inhalation sensitivity to PG. If you feel any irritation of skin, nose, throat or any other other sensitivity, switch to vegetable glycerin. According to some users, PG side effects include throat or skin irritation.
Avoid throat irritation: Drink plenty of water and be cautious about chain-vaping. Take periodic breaks if you feel any sensitivity or irritations.

Nicotine adds Throat Hit. That feeling you get in the back of your throat when you inhale on an e-cigarette.
Throat hit depends on how many milligrams of nicotine you select and what kind of device you are using it with (higher wattage, lower resistances etc). The higher concentration of nicotine in your e-liquid, will result in a 'harsher' Throat Hit.
If you are coughing when you vape, the culprit could be your nicotine level (also check your device settings if you are getting harsh throat hits). 18mg+ nicotine levels are high in throat hit and 24mg can be very harsh!.

BURNT or PEPPERY TASTE
For some individuals, nicotine has a slight peppery taste.
(Dry wicking material can give a burnt taste and lower the life of your device. Keep your wicks wet!)

While not cancer-causing or excessively harmful on its own, nicotine is heavily addictive and exposes people to the extremely harmful effects of tobacco dependency.

History
Nicotiana tabacum, the type of nicotine found in tobacco plants, comes from the nightshade family
The tobacco plant is indigenous to the Americas and has been used as a medicine and stimulant for at least 2,000 years.
It is not known how tobacco first reached Europe. However, Christopher Columbus is often thought to have discovered tobacco while exploring the Americas for the first time.
The smoking of pipes and cigars spread quickly throughout the 1600s. The plant divided opinion when it was introduced to Europe. Some saw tobacco as medicinal, while others saw it as toxic and habit-forming.
The tobacco industry grew throughout the 1700s, and exploded in 1880 when a machine was first patented to mass-produce paper cigarettes. From then on, cigarettes became much easier to produce, and this saw in the dawn of the major tobacco corporations.
By the end of the 19th century, lawmakers had begun to realize the harmful effects of nicotine. Laws were passed banning stores from selling nicotine to minors in 26 states by the year 1890.
It was not until 1964 that the Surgeon General of the U.S. published a study linking smoking with heart disease and lung cancer. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) took until 1994 to officially recognize nicotine as a drug that produced dependency.
Even after this landmark recognition, the FDA was not granted control over nicotine regulations by the Supreme Court until June 22nd, 2009. On this day, the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act gave the FDA the power to regulate the production and advertisement of tobacco products.
Effects
Nicotine has a range of effects on the body.
The 'nicotine effect'
Nicotine is both a sedative and a stimulant.
When a body is exposed to nicotine, the individual experiences a "kick." This is partly caused by nicotine stimulating the adrenal glands, which results in the release of adrenaline.
This surge of adrenaline stimulates the body. There is an immediate release of glucose, as well as an increase in heart rate, breathing activity, and blood pressure.
Nicotine also makes the pancreas produce less insulin, causing a slight increase in blood sugar or glucose.
Indirectly, nicotine causes the release of dopamine in the pleasure and motivation areas of the brain. A similar effect occurs when people take heroin or cocaine. The drug user experiences a pleasurable sensation.
As users become more tolerant to nicotine, they require higher doses to enjoy the same effects.
Dopamine is a brain chemical that affects emotions, movements, and sensations of pleasure and pain. If your brain dopamine levels rise, the feeling of contentment is higher.
Depending on the dose of nicotine taken and the individual's nervous system arousal, nicotine can also act as a sedative.
Pharmacologic effects
When humans, mammals, and most other types of animals are exposed to nicotine, it increases their heart rate, heart muscle oxygen consumption rate, and heart stroke volume. These are known as pharmacologic effects.
Psychodynamic effects
Consuming nicotine is also linked to raised alertness, euphoria, and a sensation of being relaxed.
Concentration and memory
Studies have shown that nicotine appears to improve memory and concentration. It is thought that this is due to an increase in acetylcholine and norepinephrine. Norepinephrine also increases the sensation of wakefulness, or arousal.
Reduced anxiety
Nicotine results in increased levels of beta-endorphin, which reduces anxiety.
How the body processes nicotine
After inhaling tobacco smoke, nicotine rapidly enters the bloodstream, crosses the blood-brain barrier, and reaches the brain within 8 to 20 seconds. Within approximately 2 hours after entering the body, half of the nicotine has gone.
How much nicotine may enter a smoker's body depends on:
the type of tobacco being used
whether or not the smoker inhales the smoke
whether a filter is used, and what type of filter it is
Tobacco products that are chewed, placed inside the mouth, or snorted tend to release considerably larger amounts of nicotine into the body than smoking.
Nicotine is broken down in the liver.
Nicotine tolerance
Tolerance increases with the amount of nicotine consumed and people require higher doses to enjoy the same initial effects. As most of the nicotine in the body leaves the body during sleep, tolerance may have virtually disappeared first thing in the morning.
Nicotine has less of an effect as the day progresses because of the buildup of tolerance.
Addiction
Nicotine is one of the most difficult substances to quit once addicted.
Nicotine is highly addictive.
People who regularly consume nicotine and then suddenly stop experience withdrawal symptoms, which may include:
cravings
a sense of emptiness
anxiety
depression
moodiness
irritability
difficulty focusing or paying attention
The American Heart Association says that nicotine consumed from smoking tobacco is one of the hardest substances to quit. It is considered to be at least as hard as quitting heroin.
A 2013 study showed that reducing the amount of nicotine in cigarettes also brings down their level of addictiveness.
Nicotine causes a wide range of side effects in most organs and systems.
The circulation of the blood can be affected in the following ways:
an increased clotting tendency, leading to a risk of harmful blood clots
atherosclerosis, in which plaque forms on the artery wall
enlargement of the aorta
Side effects in the brain include:
dizziness and lightheadedness
irregular and disturbed sleep
bad dreams and nightmares

In the gastrointestinal system, nicotine can have the following effects:
nausea and vomiting
dry mouth, or xerostomia
indigestion
peptic ulcers

The heart can experience the following after taking in nicotine:

constrictions and diseases of the coronary artery

If a woman smokes while pregnant, the following risks are likely in the development of the child:

Other effects include:
spasms in the lungs
pneumonia
tremors and pain in the muscles
increase levels of insulin and insulin resistance, contributing to the risk of diabetes

Smoking

By far, the most popular way of consuming nicotine is by smoking cigarettes. Worldwide, over one billion people are regular tobacco smokers, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Approximately 16.7 percent of adult males and 13.6 percent of adult females in the U.S. are smokers. Smoking leads to over 480,000 deaths in the country per year, and over 16 million people in the U.S. are currently living with a disease caused by smoking.
More people die as a result of smoking than all deaths due to HIV, vehicle accidents, murder, suicide, alcohol abuse, and drug abuse combined.
Are e-cigarettes and vaporizers safe?
In recent years, liquid nicotine has been touted as a less risky replacement for smoking cigarettes. This can be delivered to the system in an electronic cigarette or vaporizer. These are known as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).
These battery-operated 'e-cigs' and 'vapes' atomize the liquid nicotine by applying heat but without the harmful, oxidative effects of burning. Liquids are available in a range of strengths and flavors.
Current evidence suggests that using liquid nicotine is a safer alternative to inhaling tobacco smoke, as nicotine in itself is not classified as carcinogenic, or cancer-causing, by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
It may also help people that are trying to quit smoking mimic some of the addictive behaviors of cigarette use, such as raising the hand to the mouth or seeing smoke inhaled, that other types of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) cannot imitate. Liquid nicotine can help replicate these behaviors without the harmful effects of tobacco use.
Any form of nicotine is highly addictive, so e-cigarettes and vaporizers remain unsuitable for young people and those who do not already smoke. Liquid nicotine can act as a gateway to cigarettes for those not already regularly taking in nicotine.
The use of e-cigarettes rose from 1.5 percent to 16 percent among high-school students and from 0.6 percent to 5.3 percent in middle-school students between 2011 and 2015, with 81 percent of young e-cigarette users putting their use of the products down to the wide availability of flavors.
There are also other chemicals present in e-cigarette and vaporizer liquid that could be harmful, and these chemicals will be different in various brands, products, devices, and uses. Some products that are available online may also contain dangerous concentrations of nicotine.
While nicotine does not itself cause cancer, some of the other substances in liquid nicotine may well contribute to it. For example, a flavoring called diacetyl, used in some e-liquids, is also associated with severe respiratory problems seen in workers at a factory that produces microwaveable popcorn, known as "popcorn lung."
These products have been regulated by the FDA since 2016 and, as of 2018, must bear the nicotine addictiveness warning on packaging and marketing materials. However, as a relatively new technology, the full effects of liquid nicotine are not known, and caution is advised.

It is never wrong to shake a bottle which has been sitting unmoved for awhile. It's always best to give your bottle a quick shake before filling your tank.

For starters, there's no reason to Panic!
Vaper’s tongue is a term used for those times when your taste buds just decide to pack up and go on vacation for a while. It’s not a medical issue. The good news is that it's also not a permanent condition.
New vapers especially experience moments where they seem unable to taste the flavor in the vapor. Some veteran vapers also experience the same thing. A small number of people frequently experience this issue fairly regularly even after vaping for months or years.
There's a few different reasons this phenomenon can happen. Keep in mind this article isn't coming from a medical standpoint, so these concepts are strictly speaking, not scientific.
People who just switched from smoking cigarettes to using personal vaporizors (e-cigarettes) are prime candidates for vaper's tongue. You may not be aware but, smoking ruins your sense of taste. Once you stop smoking cigarettes, your tastebuds must become reacquainted with normal taste sensations.
The ability to taste things slowly awakens after a lengthy slumber. These new sensations can overload your sense of taste and strange things start happening. Eventually, all the stimulation becomes a little too much and your brain elects to close up shop for a little while to let your taste regroup.
As you adjust to life as a non-smoker this shut down effect is likely to happen several times. These shutdowns usually last anywhere from a few hours to a couple days. Gradually, your tastebuds start firing up again and you'll just realize at some point the flavor has returned all on its own.
DEHYDRATION
Vaping will dehydrate you. Vapor actually absorbs the moisture in the surrounding air. Your mouth contains a lot of moisture, which the vapor will suck up like a sponge.
The result of this action is a dry mouth. With an amount of the moisture removed from your mouth, a thin film might form on your tongue. The film acts as sort of a barrier isolating your tongue (and taste buds) from the vapor.
When this happens, it's incredibly easy to fix. Water. Simply increase your water intake while you vape. If you find there is quite a bit of film built up on your tongue, you can scrape it off with your toothbrush. It's kind of a weird sensation, and if your family sees you, you might get funny looks, but it's quite effective at removing any buildup in your mouth.
THE SAME OL' SAME OL'
Is there any particular flavor you call your all-day vape? Do you put out more white clouds than the Polar Express?
This could also be the source of your missing flavor. Constant exposure to the exact same flavor sensation can also cause your sense of taste to hit the high road. This happens because you're so frequently exposed to the same flavor that your brain treats that flavor sort of like the taste equivalent of white noise. You tune out the flavor similar to the way you tune out the drone of other diners in a noisy restaurant.
This cause is another easy fix. Shake things up a little. Experiment with some other flavors. Even if you like to stick to what you know, try to find two or three other flavors to swap between to keep things fresh.
BEING SICK
Most people grasp the correlation between illness and the inability to taste things as well as usual. If you have the flu or a cold, chance are your sinuses are good and stuffed up, making breathing through your nose a Herculean feat.
The sense of smell is very tightly integrated into the sense of taste. When you are unable to smell effectively, it generally also means your sense of taste is equally dulled.
Since there is still no cure for the common cold, your best bet to beat this one is some chicken soup and a comfy blanket.

And then there's just the unexplained times when your taste leaves you with no excuse at all. It's like your tongue decided to stay in bed that morning while the rest of your body woke up. Maybe your tongue is still holding a grudge over that whole killing your taste buds with cigarette smoke thing.
These are the times that are probably the most frustrating. Nothing is wrong as far as you can tell, your normal flavors just aren't doing it for you.
Some vapers note that they regain their ability to taste e-liquid after switching to a particularly strong flavor helps revive things. Something with a lot of cinnamon or menthol (or both) does the trick.
SOME IDEAS
Sometimes not even the most fiery cinnamon won't even help scare your tastebuds straight. Since you can't taste things normally, you might want to try a couple of these suggestions while you wait for things to return to normal.
Is there a bottle of e-liquid you thought would taste great but turns out you absolutely despise it? You can't taste anything anyway, why not break out the terrible stuff and save your good e-liquid for when you can appreciate it. Maybe your compromised sense of taste will actually make that juice you hate actually taste decent.
For that matter it can even be unflavored e-liquid, your tongue won't know the difference anyway. Keep a small supply handy so you can wait out any stubbornness your tastebuds decide to throw your way.
LET IT STEEP FOR A FEW WEEKS
Most e-liquids you thought had no taste or taste bad will blend fully, deepening and enriching in flavor over time. This will allow for your taste buds to recuperate and return to normal.
BURNT or PEPPERY Taste: Keep your atomizers/cartomizers wet. Dry atomizers or cartomizers can give a burnt or peppery taste and lower the lifetime of your device. A peppery taste is also a sign that the juice needs to steep longer, or you are getting a small amount of E-Liquid in your mouth from your atomizer/cartomizer.
PERFUMEY TASTE: Some flavors have a strong scent to them, this is usually eliminated with steeping. If the perfumey taste is still present after steeping. The flavor may need some extra steeping to 'breathe.' Remove the cap and dripper tip, store the E-Liquid in a cool dark place (Away from children and pets) for a couple of days.
Why Steep? Flavors blend and marry fully over time, so you will have a richer, deeper, more flavorful product after a few days or weeks of steeping.
This is especially true of tobacco flavors and larger bottle sizes. This is also generally true for all e-liquid. Time allows all flavors to be married together and mature, making them taste richer. TOBACCO Flavors generally taste better over time (steep for 1-2 weeks).
For best steeping results: Store e-liquid in a cool dark place (in a safe place AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS) and shake daily. (Steeping can be from 2 days up to 3 weeks. It is a personal preference) PG is a better flavor carrier than VG. The higher the VG content, the better it will taste with steeping.

Seal the bottle tightly and air free (to keep it from floating) in a zip lock bag, then seal it again in another (tightly sealed and air free also). (Place the bottle in the bottom of the bag and rolling it up helps to press out any air.)
Place the bottle in hot tap water (not boiling) and let it sit for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove the zip lock bag and shake the bottle vigorously for 30 seconds or longer.
The combination of heating and shaking will help speed up the steeping process. We recommend repeating this cycle a second time with fresh hot water. This process can be repeated as many times as needed to completely blend your E-liquid.
An ultrasonic jewelry cleaner is also a very good method to speed up the steeping process.

There are no dyes or artificial coloring in any of our e-liquids.
Regardless of who manufacturers it, e-liquid color changes are a completely natural chemical process, and is nothing to worry about.
When you order e-liquid from us, we ship it custom made and fresh. It's not defective nor has the taste gone bad in any way. The chemical process in the e-liquid changes it's color over time as your juice steeps. Exposure to air, heat and light, speeds up the oxidation process in your e-liquid.
Anything with nicotine in it may change to a light amberish color.
Some flavorings will also cause a color change over time as the flavor develops and intensifies (also known as steeping).

If you are coughing when you vape, the culprit could be your nicotine level. Also check your device settings if you are getting harsh throat hits.
